Itinerary
Day 1: Jungle Trek to Sukamade & Night Turtle Watching
- 9:00 AM, our driver will pick you up from your accommodation in the Banyuwangi area. We'll begin our journey with a visit to the stunning Green Bay (Teluk Hijau), accessible by a short trek or local boat. After enjoying lunch and the beautiful scenery, we'll visit a local dragon fruit field to see the unique plantations.
- prepare for an exciting jeep adventure to Sukamade. This thrilling ride will take us through challenging, natural jungle roads, offering an authentic wilderness experience. Upon arrival, we'll check into the Sukamade basic guesthouse. After a short rest, you'll have the opportunity to explore the Sukamade Conservation Area or relax on Sukamade Beach.
- 8:00 PM, following dinner, we'll embark on a unique night walk to the beach to observe sea turtles laying their eggs under the moonlight (subject to natural conditions).
Day 2: Baby Turtle Release & Departure
Today marks the final day of your memorable trip! In the morning, around 6:00 AM, we'll participate in the heartwarming release of baby turtles into the ocean. Afterwards, we'll visit the egg hatchery where you'll learn about the life cycle of sea turtles and the crucial conservation efforts in place.
Once all activities are completed, we'll begin our journey back to the Java Turtle Lodge. From there, our driver will drop you off at your preferred train station or bus station in the Banyuwangi area, concluding your unforgettable adventure.
